CROSSFIT READING is United Kingdom’s most successful state of the art CrossFit® box
designed to suit all athletes from beginners through to advanced competitors.
We are and have been an official CrossFit affiliated facility since 2008, and are a part of the broader global CrossFit community.
Our facility is different to mainstream commercial gyms. We have minimal machines as we believe in training you to move your body naturally, not move your body around a machine. We use Olympic weights and barbells, pull up rigs, kettlebells, plyometric boxes, giant tyres for lifting, drag sleds, medicine balls, skipping ropes, atlas stones dumbbells, carry yokes and other equipment that teach us to move our bodies functionally (naturally) rather than teach us to move the way to a machine.
Our facility is coached by qualified coaches with a wealth of qualifications, knowledge and training experience between them including;
- CrossFit Level 1 Certification
- CrossFit Level 1 & Level 2 Trainers
- CrossFit Gymnastics
- Level 3 Personal Training
- British Weight Lifting

With constantly varied movements and activities CrossFit® is not just another boring gym fad,
CrossFit® is a state of mind, a philosophy and a lifestyle.
It doesn’t matter what shape or size you are because CrossFit® coaches people of all ages and abilities to improve their overall fitness in a fun and challenging environment. Get started by trialling a FREE session or by booking straight onto one of our Foundations Courses, specifically designed for beginners and you will soon become a CrossFit® addict!

OUR TEAM
Our coaches are CrossFit® L1 and L2 certified, holding qualifications in personal training, fitness, nutrition and first aid. Always ready to motivate and offer advice, our team will acquaint you with our state of the art CrossFit® equipment, gym and facilities. Our newly refurbished CrossFit® box features brand new climbing ropes, dedicated Olympic Lifting platforms, turf strip for sleds, a full room length rig and spacious matted areas. Our team are dedicated to help you achieve your goals and beyond.

Being part owner and Director of CFR and involved with CrossFit for nearly 10 years now, gives me the opportunity to help steer our facility and community to the best standards we can in all aspects of our business. Coaching CrossFit means the world to me. After years of running, swimming, yoga, weights and cardio globo-gym style, I found CrossFit 3 years ago and fell in love. Competing, in RCFR teams and as an individual, getting my first muscle up in 18.3… were all magic moments. But nothing compares to gaining my CF-L1 trainer certification at the start of 2018. I’ve finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up. The best coach and athlete I can possibly be! I’m so blessed that I get to share my love of this sport, lifestyle and training approach in such a great community.

Being a coach at CrossFit Reading is an absolute honour. It is easily one of the best things in my life and I am passionate about it. I love to help people reach their goals, whilst making sure they are having fun and enjoying working out. You’ll never have a dull moment with me, I like to mix training up and get people to try new things to improve their training experiences, things which they might normally think to try. I like to specialise in strength and power. I feel this has great carry over into all elements of CrossFit.
